Eligibility: This employee Event (“Event”) is only open to full-time employees (“Entrants”) who are 18 years of age or older and permanently or temporarily work at a Client name office. Sponsor’s employees who are not full-time employees (i.e. part-time employees or contractors or similar) are not eligible to participate or eligible to win any of the prizes associated with the Event. This Event is subject to all applicable federal, state & local laws & regulations. Registration, participation, judging, and prizes are determined as set forth below. Event begins at 7AM local time (time at location of Event) on October 25 & ends at 7PM local time on June 25 2018.
Registration: Entrants sign up to participate on the Event site (https://ideaportal.clientname). Entrants must register as part of a team to participate. Teams are to consist of no more than 5 participants (“Eligible Teams”). Eligible Teams are selected to participate on a first-come, first-serve basis. At such time their Eligible Teams are informed of their successful registration, Entrants on Eligible Teams become official participants (“Participants”).
Participation: Participants will work on their own time and will not be eligible for any additional pay as compensation for taking part in the Event. The Sponsor is not responsible for any additional compensation or any additional expenses related to the overnight stay or hours worked beyond what is typically considered normal working hours (9AM to 5PM). All Entrants are asked to reach out to their direct managers and get verbal sign off before registering for the Event.
Judging Criteria: Ideas are determined at the pitch day during a Judging Finale by an internal panel of judges (“Judging Panel”) assigned to the task by the Sponsor. Members of the Judging Panel will score solutions based on set criteria and on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best). Scores are weighed and totaled, with the idea receiving the highest total score the winner. Criteria include Originality (25% of total score), Impact (25% of total score), Feasibility (25% of total score), and Tech Solution (25% of total score). The winner is announced a week later. In the case of a tie total score, the Judging Panel will convene for additional time and determine the winner post discussion.
Ideas: Any idea submitted prior to the Event by an Entrant or during any part of the Event by a Participant is considered our organization’s intellectual property. An idea may be considered for further advancement whether or not it's awarded a prize, but no idea is guaranteed advancement by the Sponsor.
Prizes: Participants are eligible to receive various prizes that are associated with the Event. All prizes are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Our organisation is not responsible for any other costs or fees or other incidental charges. Prize details, including total value, will be set forth herein are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prizes (or portion thereof) except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability, & then for a prize (or applicable portion thereof) of equal or greater value. If any prize notification email or prize is returned as undeliverable, winner will be disqualified & an alternate winner may be selected. By participating, Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions & agree that our organization and Released Parties & their designees and assigns & all of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives and agents shall have no liability and will be held harmless by Entrant for any liability, loss, injury, claim, or damage to themselves or any other person or entity, including without limitation, personal injury, death, or damage to personal or real property, to Entrant or any other person or entity due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly by reason of the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize (including any travel or prize activity related thereto) or participation in this Event.
